Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026.
This privacy policy explains how the Press & Polish website handles information when you read garment care pages or submit a service inquiry. Press & Polish publishes dry cleaning, pressing, and textile care information. The website is not a shop checkout, a user account system, or an advertising platform.
Who operates this website
Press & Polish is the business name used for this dry cleaning and garment care website. The published business location is Eliodoro Yáñez 2331, Providencia, Santiago 7510277, Región Metropolitana, Chile. You can call +56 2 3243 2291 or email [email protected]. That email address is also the address for privacy questions. A separate privacy office, a data protection officer, a company registration number, and a Chilean RUT are not published. Opening hours are not listed.

| What this website does | Explains garment care and accepts a service inquiry. It does not take payment online. |
The same name, address, telephone, and email appear on the contact page, in the footer, and in these policies. If a detail is missing from this table, it has not been published. This policy does not fill that gap with a placeholder.
Introduction
The pages you can open from the header and footer are informational. They describe cleaning and pressing topics and invite you to send a garment question. Reading those pages does not require an account. There is no public comment area, no member profile, and no payment form.
The only information you are asked to provide is on the contact page, through the service inquiry form. That form is optional. You can read the service pages, fabric care guides, frequently asked questions, and this policy without submitting it.
This policy matches the website as it is built. It does not describe analytics products, advertising pixels, mailing platforms, or payment processors, because those tools are not included in the pages.
Information We Collect
Information reaches the site in two ways. You may type it into the inquiry form. Separately, a normal web request can create technical records on the server that hosts the site, and your browser can store one small preference after you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page.
Press & Polish does not buy contact lists, does not ask you to sign in with another service, and does not place hidden fields that collect a location, a device advertising identifier, or a payment credential.
Information You Provide
If you choose to use the service inquiry form, you provide the fields you fill in. The form asks for your name, email address, an optional telephone number, a service topic chosen from a fixed list, an optional garment type, and a message. The message is the place to describe a care label, a stain, or a question about cleaning or pressing.
Please do not include payment card numbers, bank details, identity document numbers, or health information. The form is not a payment page and it is not a medical or insurance form. If those details are typed into the message anyway, they would be stored with the rest of the message, which is a reason to leave them out.
You decide how much garment detail to include. A useful inquiry names the item and the question. It does not need a full history of every garment you own.
Contact Form Information
The contact page and the service inquiry are the same form. There is not a second contact form, a live chat box, or a published email address that bypasses it. Submitting the form does not create a customer account and does not sign you up for a newsletter.
The page states, before you submit, that a successful submission is stored for later review. It also states that storage is not a confirmed cleaning appointment. The response text shown after submit repeats that limit when storage succeeds, and it says that nothing was sent when storage fails.
Service Inquiry Information
When the inquiry script accepts a submission, it writes one record to a file on the website server. The record contains the time of receipt in UTC, the name, the email address, the telephone number if you entered one, the selected service topic, the garment type if you entered one, and the message.
The script checks that the name and message are not empty, that the email address is in a valid email format, and that the service topic is one of the options shown on the form. It shortens fields that exceed the length limits set in the form. A hidden field that people are not asked to fill is used to ignore automated submissions. If that field contains text, the inquiry is not stored.
The website does not email you a copy of the inquiry and does not email the contents to an address displayed on the site, because no delivery address is published. Review of stored inquiries depends on someone with access to the server opening the stored file. A reply time is not promised.
Technical Website Data
Like most websites, this one is requested over the network. The hosting environment may keep standard server logs, such as the address that requested a page, the time of the request, the address of the page, and a browser identification string. Press & Polish does not operate a separate analytics database and does not name a log provider here, because the host is not identified on the site.
Those logs, if the host creates them, are a function of serving the pages and of basic security troubleshooting. This policy does not claim a particular retention period for host logs, because that period is set by the host and has not been published by Press & Polish.
The inquiry script does not add your IP address to the inquiry file. If the host logs the form submission as an ordinary request, that log is separate from the inquiry file.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The pages do not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. The published HTML does not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, an advertising pixel, a session replay tool, or an embedded map.
A notice at the corner of the page explains a single browser
preference. If you choose “Got it,” the site stores the value
press_polish_notice_ok in the browser’s local storage
for this site. That value only records that the notice was dismissed.
It does not contain your name, email address, or inquiry text. Local
storage is not sent to the server with each page view the way a
cookie would be. The cookie policy describes this preference in more
detail.
If you do not choose “Got it,” the notice can appear again on a later page. No optional tracking is turned on or off by that choice, because no optional tracking is installed.
How Information Is Used
Inquiry details are used to read and, if the operator chooses to respond, to answer a garment care question. They may also be used to tell duplicate messages apart or to remove a message that is abusive or unrelated to garment care.
The notice preference is used only to keep the same notice from covering the page after you dismiss it. Server logs, where they exist, are used to operate and protect the website.
Press & Polish does not use inquiry details to build an advertising audience, to score credit, or to sell a marketing list. The website has no recommendation engine and no customer loyalty account.
Responding to Inquiries
A stored inquiry is a note waiting for review. It is not acceptance of a garment, a quote, or an agreement to clean, press, collect, or deliver anything. If a response is sent later, it would use the email address or telephone number you supplied. This policy cannot promise that a response will be sent, because no response schedule is published.
If you want to add a correction, send another inquiry and say that it updates the earlier note. The form does not offer an edit link, and there is no online account where you can view the stored text.
Website Operations
Information is handled so the pages can be shown, so the inquiry file can be written, and so the operator can tell whether the form is working. Administrative files used to maintain the site, including a deployment helper that can refresh technical SEO files, are not customer accounts and are not a public directory of inquiries.
The inquiry file is stored under a private storage path that the public navigation does not link to. Server rules are included to refuse ordinary web requests for that path. Those rules depend on the host honoring them. They are a safeguard, not a claim that every possible server configuration is covered.
Data Security
The inquiry file is written with a lock so two submissions are less likely to corrupt each other. Access is intended to be limited to the person or host account that can read the server files. The site does not claim a named security certification, a bug-bounty program, or a specific encryption product beyond what the host provides for the connection and the disk.
No method of storage is perfect. If you are not comfortable placing a detail in the message field, leave it out. You can still read the fabric care guides without sending personal information.
Information Sharing
Inquiry records are not sold and are not shared with a named marketing, dry-cleaning franchise, or payment partner, because no such partner is connected to the form. The people who can read server files, including a hosting provider that stores those files, can technically access them. That access is part of hosting the site, not a separate disclosure program.
Press & Polish may disclose information if a competent authority requires it and the request is valid. The published business location is Providencia, Santiago, Chile. This policy does not name a court.
The site does not transfer inquiry data to a listed overseas processor. The physical location of the host is not stated on the website, so this policy does not invent a country of storage.
Third-Party Service Providers
The pages do not embed third-party fonts from a remote service, video players, map widgets, or social plugins. Fonts used for the design are files served with the website. Images used on the pages are files served with the website. The contact page includes a text link to a map search for the published address. Choosing that link leaves this website. The inquiry form is not sent to the map service.
A hosting provider is necessary for the site to be online. Press & Polish does not publish the provider’s name here. No email delivery vendor, customer-relationship vendor, or payment vendor is connected to the inquiry form. If one is added later, this policy should be updated before the form starts using it.
Data Retention
A fixed retention period for inquiries has not been set. Stored inquiries remain in the inquiry file until the site operator deletes them or deletes the file. There is no automatic expiry date in the script.
The notice preference stays in your browser until you clear site data for this website or remove that key. It is not copied into the inquiry file. Host log retention, if logs exist, is not defined in this policy.
User Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether information about you is held, to ask for a copy, to ask for correction or deletion, or to object to a particular use. Press & Polish does not publish a statutory deadline or a registration number, so this page does not invent one.
Press & Polish is located in Providencia, Santiago, Chile. Requests about personal information can be sent to [email protected], made by telephone at +56 2 3243 2291, or sent by post to Eliodoro Yáñez 2331, Providencia, Santiago 7510277. People in Chile may ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information an inquiry contains. Law 19.628 on the protection of private life is the statute this page refers to for that kind of request. A newer data-protection statute may apply later; this page does not claim that a later statute is already in force, and it does not invent a registration number.
Because there is no account page, you can also use the inquiry form. Say that your message is a privacy request, include the email address you used before, and describe what you want done with the earlier note. A request can only be matched if the stored record contains enough detail to recognize it. Press & Polish cannot promise a response time that has not been published.
Mandatory rights that apply to you under the law where you live are not removed by this policy. This page is a description of the website. It is not a waiver.
User Choices
You can choose not to submit the form. You can omit the optional telephone number and the optional garment type. You can dismiss the notice or leave it in place. You can clear local storage in your browser settings, which brings the notice back and does not delete an inquiry already stored on the server.
You can also ask, through a later inquiry, that a previous note be deleted. Deletion from the server file is a manual step by someone with server access. The website does not show you a confirmation page with a stored copy of your text after you submit, other than the short status sentence about whether storage worked.
External Links
Service and guide pages link to other pages on this website. The contact page also links to a map search for the published address. The about page links to photograph sources and their licenses. Those other websites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not control. A link is not an endorsement of that site’s garment care claims, and it does not send the inquiry form to that site.
Children’s Privacy
The website is written for adults who are asking about clothing and household textiles. It is not directed at children, and the form is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child’s information was submitted, email [email protected], call +56 2 3243 2291, or use the inquiry form and ask for deletion of that note. Do not include more personal detail than is needed to identify the message.
Policy Changes
If the form, the storage method, or the tools on the pages change, this policy should be updated to match. The date at the top of the page is the date of the current text. Continuing to read the site after a change does not, by itself, create a cleaning contract. A material change to what the form collects should be visible on the contact page as well as here, so the two pages do not contradict each other.
Contact About Privacy
Privacy questions can be emailed to [email protected], made by calling +56 2 3243 2291, or posted to Eliodoro Yáñez 2331, Providencia, Santiago 7510277, Región Metropolitana, Chile. You may also use the contact page. There is no second privacy-only email address. In the service type field, choose “Other garment question” if none of the care topics fit, and state clearly that the message is about privacy. The same limits apply: the note is stored for review when the script succeeds, and storage is not a confirmed appointment.
